I purchased the unit from Home Depot May 12 2022 and the heater worked great last year but this year the heat is not working. So basically I way overspent on a A/C unit. I purchased this model for its heater ability because I am afraid of free standing heaters. Now my house is freezing and the manufacturer warranty is only for one year. I dont know what to do

AC and heat ran good for a couple of years then issues started. Unit froze over I defrosted and cleaned coils. A couple of weeks later froze up again and compressor wouldnt shut off at all unless unplugged. LG chatbot support was zero help and even managed to waste an hour of my time. $800 garbage Stay Away from this AC

7/2022 Defective Air Conditioner surged my electrical equipment due to water shooting out the right side of the unit into my electrical box. Causing fire under my home. The unit also caused issues with my cable box from water. Unit was not a year old with extended warranty. Issue was forwarded to Presidental team Jason I have yet to receive a refund for damages. It is over a 100 degrees in MS I would never purchase another LG Air Conditioner in the future. Reporting to BBB company response is unacceptable.

Purchased this unit for my hunting cabin which had a less than satisfactory 18000 BTU GE Although insulated we only could maintain a 20 degree delta. When outside was 100 inside was 78 tp 80. This unit has an excellent air volume and has been able to maintain 74 when outside is 107. Have seen a number of reviews identifying performace issues and at this point we are well pleased with this unit.

We purchased this window air/heat unit in July 2021 and it worked for 3 weeks and stopped blowing. A repairman came 2 and sprayed WD-40 on the blower and it blew for 3 days. I requested another warranty repair and a new repairman replaced the blower. The air conditioner is working but now the heater is not working and its 58 degrees outside. Im requesting a repair now.

I needed a more powerful window unit for my she-shed that I use as a photography studio. This one cools very quickly and I am excited about the heat as well come winter. My absolute favorite features are the ability to control the unit from the app so that I can properly prepare the studio for a client just a few hours before without actually going out there which is helpful for early morning sessions as well as the ability to just have it turn on at certain times. My husband found this to be easy as he has installed window units previously but very heavy which is to be expected. You will likely need a second person to help with the install. The display is user-friendly and the overall appearance is pretty minimalist.

First this works like a charm. Its far less noisy than expected and actually quieter than one about half the size. I like the ability to sync with my favorite apps I like the remote and I like the actual controls which are intuitive to use even without reading. A few things to keep in mind or consider prior to purchase are the size...I double checked the dimensions for installing into a window prior to purchase but you might also want to consider how far this extends outside the window and the type of support to be used. Its big and heavy. Fortunately I had help so it wasnt a big deal but this will be a challenge for someone doing it on their own. Next - and this was far less easy to resolve - this has a non-standard plug due to the size of the unit. Its a 230 v and a simple little adapter will not work since it doesnt draw sufficient power from the existing outlet. You will either need access to a 230 outlet or plan accordingly. Still a powerhouse that provides both heat and cool for a large area.

This window unit is a game changer for us My husband does a lot of work in our garage/shop and with the Texas weather hes forced to do work either very early in the morning or wait till its late in the afternoon because the weather here is crazy hot especially during summer. Having this unit is a complete game changer. We have a 4 car garage and half of it is use mainly as a shop and this unit cools the work area pretty quick. And the best thing about it is everything is completely programmable and controllable through the app which makes it pretty convenient The assembly of this unit is easy and straightforward. Everything is provided and ready except for one which I will mention in a bit. To mount this unit you need at least 2 people because other than the weight of the unit it is quite massive. We like it that it comes with some kind of an enclosure which you can easily mount to the opening and once secured you can easily slide the unit itself and secure it. We also like the look of this unit and its functionality that is very user friendly. An important thing to point out about this unit is that it requires a 240v/20amp breaker which is not standard to most homes luckily my husband works as an electrician before so he knows what needs to be done on our end to make it work but I know for others this might require hiring a professional. Overall this unit is really great and we highly recommend it

Powerful and full featured AC

This is a large powerful AC that can cool up to almost 1500 sq. ft. It requires 240 volts and while it installs easily you definitely want a helper as it weighs a lot It can be voice controlled through Amazon Alexa or through Hey Google and can also be controlled through a phone app from LG called ThinQ. But the feature I find most useful is being able to program it to come on before I come home so it is cool but not running all day using electricity. We also have power outages often in my rural area and it has a great Auto Restart feature so it comes back on after an outage. It also has a filter alert to tell you when it needs cleaning and it is very easy to remove it and wash it. This unit works well and has all the features- I only took away one star because it is not at the really high level of efficiency for AC units.

The LG air conditioner and heating was pretty simple to get up and running. The directions was easy to read and understand its very powerful and will cool off a large room really fast. It is heavy and a two man job but its definitely worth it . The remote is easy to use the heater is really great also. It doesnt blow hot air its warm air and will make a room warm on the cold nights.

I got this AC to cool my master bedroom which is generally hotter than the rest of the house and this AC does an excellent job of keeping the room cool. One feature that I really like is that you can program this AC to turn on at a certain time so that you arent wasting energy trying to keep a room cool when you arent there. And an even better feature is that I can actually control the AC with my phone through the LG ThinQ APP. As far as installation goes it was rather simple even though the instructions werent that good. I would like to point out a couple of things though. First for a window unit this AC is massive and weighs a ton. Be sure to have someone else there to help you move the unit around and to help you install the unit. But despite the weight of the unit the installation was rather easy and the supports that are included with the AC work perfectly fine. My second point is that you need a 230v/20amp plug for this unit. So be advised that this unit will not plug into your standard 120 volt / 20 amp outlet. And my last comment on this AC is that it needs better weather stripping for this AC because if you have a good rain storm water will get in the house. Other than that one point this AC does an excellent job but be advised about the previous points and plan accordingly.

I live in south Florida and it is hot about 90 of the time. The heat makes any area that is not air conditioned unusable. I enjoy tinkering around in my garage doing projects but I usually have to wait until evening when it cools down. I finally broke down to get an AC unit for my garage. I wish I would have done it sooner. This unit is easy to install and includes everything you need to do it. It gets cold quickly and is easy to program. I especially like the programing because I can set it to start just before I come home from work. I definitely recommend this air conditioner.

This LG Electronics Air Conditioner cooling and heating unit is really amazing. My first time using one of these. After receiving we immediately decided to set it up. It can cool up to 1300 Sq ft. The only thing is youd require to get a 240 power adapter plug in outlet or converter to use this. It can be bought at any given hardware. Im truly impressed by the ThinQ technology and its functionality. Easy to set up and have up and running. Definitely would recommend this to my family and friends alike 5 star for me
