This is my second frigidaire freezer. My previous one is still running in GREAT shape, but when I bought it....TWENTY TWO YEARS AGO (yes - it's still running), I opted for the non-frost free to save a couple of bucks (I wish I could go back in time to explain why the extra cost for a frost free is worth it). I love the ability to choose which side you want the door to open. Also LOVE the wheels on the freezer that makes moving it so much easier. With so many shelves (sturdy), I can now organize per shelf (which makes searching and planning my shopping a breeze).I have only had it for a few days, but my husband & I are so happy with this purchase!

I really like the design of this upright freezer. It was nice to be able to reverse the way the door swings. I also liked the way the handle is recessed in the side of the door. The front of upright freezer looks very clean and neat. Only suggestions I could make is that to plastic door shelves could be a little heavier duty and the maybe the temperature control button be in a place a little more accessible.

Frigidaire has been around for every and didn't let us down when availability was an issue as we searched through five different appliance stores (shortly after deer hunting season ended). Most stores weren't going to have any upright inventory for at last two weeks - so to find one immediately that we could schedule delivery for was wonderful! Very happy with our 20 cu.ft.; it was an upgrade from our 17 cu.ft. that just died.

The freezer was installed, brought down to temperature, and has worked well since December 13th, 2024. The fact that the FRIGIDAIRE logo on the front is on crooked makes me very suspect of Frigidaire Quality Control. I'm hoping not to have any issues.We have two Frigidaire refrigerator/freezers in the house and have never experienced any issues (except the replacement of the ice maker last summer)

This is my second Frigidaire upright freezer and certainly my last Frigidaire product! Four months after purchase the freezer would not freeze anything on the top shelves. I called customer service (later found its nothing but a call center) and was given a date a week later for a technician to look at it. I explained that the freezer was full of food and I was starting to lose some food, the response was our warranty doesn't cover spoiled food. The day the technician was due to arrive, he called to tell me this was a common problem and he would order parts. A week later the new parts were installed and it was discovered a small wire harness had been left out during manufacture. The freezer worked well for about six weeks and quit working again. I called customer service and was given a repair date ten days later. At this point I purchased a cest freezer to save what food I could. When the technician arrived he discovered that a heating element that was supposed to be replaced the first visit hadnt been. Naturally he didn't have the needed part. The replacement has been scheduled for another ten days out. Every number that Frigidaire provides sends one right back to the call center. I can get no satisfaction from anyone at Frigidaire. Worst company I've ever done buisness with!!!!

Had a smaller freezer that just went out all of a sudden, so in a scramble found this one on sale at Best Buy which was over twice the size of my last one and has a small light that warns you in case of temp not in range and an audible alarm that warns if not at freezing level for any reason, that alone was worth the piece of mind of not having to toss brand new food away.

We purchased this freezer to replace a Frigidaire upright freezer that we have had for the past 28 years. We noticed that some things seemed to be slowly thawing in our old freezer so, considering it's age, we decided to get a new one. The first thing I noticed was the new one was very close in price to the one we purchased way back when! (I kept the original paperwork) The new freezer has a few new features over the old, which is nice. The biggest thing I noticed is how very quiet running it is compared to the old one. I was actually going to check that it was running and things were still frozen several times a day! After having it for over a week now I am starting to relax on that concern. We are pleased with our purchase and hopeful that it lasts as long as our previous one though, at our age, we probably won't be around to see it if it does! The freezer is great, but delivery was what I consider unusual. It was meant to be that I wasn't feeling well that day and called off work because my husband would have been a fish out of water!! The delivery guys were very careful bringing the freezer brought in and set up, they did an exceptional job with that. My husband needed to relay stuff to me because I was trying to keep the dog away in another part of the house (he is not friendly towards strangers). Anyway, the delivery guy wanted my email, which I told him. Then he said not that, my text. So I brought my text up on my phone and gave to my husband. Then he said he needed our wifi password, which I gave him. He must have finally got done what he needed to do because they left. My husband would have been totally lost, he does NONE of that stuff! What ever happened to just showing your driver's license which verifies you and your address? Then, when my husband gave me my phone back it showed the delivery guy took the delivery survey (I wanted to mention about the hassle of the techy stuff!). My husband said the guy asked if everything was okay and hubby said it was, so I guess he gave permission to do that in the delivery guy's mind? Not something I have ever encountered before.

Love That the Door Can Be Reversed

I specifically chose this freezer because it fit in the space in my laundry room and especially so I could reverse the door to open on right. I am happy so far with this freezer although there is one large problem--the light in the freezer doesn't come on when the door is opened. I finally figured out that there is a magnet at the bottom of the door that controls this and the magnet is missing. I have traced down this part but it is ridiculously expensive (almost $30 with shipping) for a tiny, square magnet. I refuse to pay this. It did take almost two weeks for this freezer to be delivered after I bought it. So if you have a freezer that is showing signs of quitting, order this freezer ASAP.
